What is the London Style Pizza?
Sweet dreams are made of cheese… And this cheese is caramelised!
Our new product, invented by our team in Soho, combines what we believe are the best attributes of our original Deep Dish pizza, together with elements of Detroit Style, Sicilian Style, and every child’s favourite – Grandma Style.
Chicago deep dish pizza traces its origins to the early 1940s, when Ike Sewell and Ric Riccardo opened Pizzeria Uno in 1943. Sewell, wanting a more substantial meal than a traditional thin-crust pizza, devised the concept of baking the pie in a deep pan and loading it with generous layers of cheese, toppings, and a chunky tomato sauce.
The style quickly caught on as locals and tourists alike discovered its hearty, comforting appeal. Over the decades, deep dish pizza has become a symbol of Chicago’s culinary creativity and remains a must-try dish for visitors to the city.
